Getting Artistic
June 27th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized
hello. first I want to start off with letting you all know that i’m still not through getting this blog all fancy yet, but wanted to go ahead and share with you what i’ve been up to these past couple of days.
Getting artistic in photoshop. That’s right, I’m steering away from my normal clean post processing and learning new ways to process photos to really bring out the “feel” of the photo. But don’t worry, I will still be proofing in my normal clean processing but you can expect to have some of them processed artistically.
Right now I am working on that vintage retro feel. I don’t have many photos that work well with this type of processing but have found a few killer locations that would work great with this look. But, here is one photo to show you what I’m talking about.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Dan Brouillette (one of the top Senior portrait photographers in the industry, right there at top with Brianna Graham… He’s actually very good friends with Brianna. I’m so jealous). He has always been so generous with me and once again graciously helped me and gave me guidence on how to achieve the above look. So, THANK YOU DAN!!
ok, and heres another thats not really retro but I really love it I achieved this look by playing around with textures and overlays to achieve the nice green background color.
